Twitter For Sweet Dreams, Princess!

Hey everyone! ^__^
I finally made a twitter for my shop!
Everyone always says social networking really helps get your shop out I've slowly been trying to set them all up! I started with this blog and now I finally got off my lazy bum and made a twitter! HA! Next maybe I'll do a Pinterest..I still unsure if I want a Facebook.. I don't even have a facebook! (Shocking I know!!) I don't see what the big deal with facebook is..We'll see I guess!

Does anyone else use social networking sites to help promote their Etsy shop? Does it actually work?? lol

Here's my twitter:

Check Out My New Shop!

Hey everyone! I know I'm terrible about posting, I've just been so busy!
Me and my twin sister have been working on a new shop! And now it's FINALLY up and running! It's called Dandy Nomad and we are so excited about it! (Click on the name to view). This shop is special to us because it's more of a reflection of our personal style. My shop Sweet Dreams, Princess is more of girlie shop. It's full of Lolita cuteness ^__^ .
Dandy Nomad has more of a boho/indie feel to it.
I hope you'll stop by and take a look, show your support :) Thanks!
Here's the link incase you missed it:

A Little Rant About So-Called "Vegan Products"

OK! So I'm not one to complain...but I've been seeing somethings online lately and it's just bugging the crap out of me! I HATE HATE HATE when sellers (I've seen a tone on Etsy) label their products as "vegan" or "vegan friendly" to attract people like me (vegan) to come to find them...a lot of the time the products are not even vegan!!! Most of the time the people selling the products, aren't even vegan themselves, so they think if it doesn't contain meat or leather or must be vegan! There is sooo much more to it than that. I've been a vegan for about year now, and I can tell you, it takes A LOT of time and research and ingredient list reading and google searches and emails etc, to know what products are actually vegan. To know, that these people (un-intentionally I'm sure..) are mis-labeling items just makes me so upset :( It's hard enough finding products I can use.
Example..I was on the other day when I came across a women who was listing a "vegan" lip balm. She then proceeded to give a list of the ingredients she used to make the lip balm. I was reading and it all sounded just fine until I came across one word... "beeswax"... Wait. What did you just say??! Bees wax is NOT vegan! Oh boy did she create an uproar with several people! For those of you who do not know, a vegan who is someone who does not use, eat, or wear anything form ANY living creature. Yes, even little insects like bees. No being is excluded. Most people think a vegan is a vegetarian who doesn't wear fur or eat dairy. It's so much more than that! We also do not use animals for entertainment (zoos, seaworld, circus',rodeos, caged pets, etc), we do not buy products tested on animals, and we do not use non food products that contain animal ingredients. (razors with moisture strips, gel capsule vitamins and pills, various bar soaps..just to name a few) So as you can see, it takes a lot of work!
Then today, I did a search on Etsy to try to find some artificial feathers to make some jewelry with. So I typed in "vegan feathers". A whole slew of cruelty free "vegan freindly" feathers popped up. But as I clicked on each listing, I found out that the feathers were real!!! They were from real actual birds! What?! Again, a vegan doesn't wear any animal products. I am so so happy to hear that they were cruelty free (the birds lived on a special farm and they only use feathers that naturally fall off of them. So the bird is not harmed.) I'm trilled to hear that these wonderful creatures are not being harmed, but that being said, cruelty free or not, it still does not make it vegan. Like my sister put it..labeling real feathers as cruelty free would be the same as labeling free range chicken eggs as vegan. Or like labeling grass fed organic cow meat as vegan. HA! You just can't do it... I sent the seller a message, so we"ll see how that goes :P ..Hopefully well!
And I would just like to say as well, I'm in no way downing non vegans or meat eaters..or feather wearers in any way! What you choose to use, eat, and wear is your choice. I just want people to respect my choice as well. I just get upset at the mis-labelng thing. The choice to become vegan was mine and mine alone.. I have my own personal reasons.. But I do encourage everyone to buy organic, cruelty free, fair trade, eco friendly, and non animal tested products when ever you can! I've been wanting to do a product review to let everyone know about some great vegan health and beauty products but I just haven't gotten around to it. I think I'll be doing that next. I need more vegan posts in my blog..Its part of my blog name for goodness sakes!
Alrighty I'm done ranting, that definitely helped to calm me down.
Until next time! Cya! ^__^

I Love Your Funny Face

I may regret posting this, I'm not sure yet. Haha Everyone takes pictures of themselves, including me. Whether its for fun or for my Etsy shop. And I don't know about you, but I have to take probably 50 pictures just to produce a hand full of some that I actually like! I was taking pics for some new items in my shop, and let me tell you..I had some interesting results! I got a kick out of them and maybe you will to! Here's some of the reject pics! Check 'em out!

This one kind of reminds me of school picture day lol The camera guy was usually a weirdo who gave you like 20 different things to do at once.. "Ok put your hand here, lean to the right a little, tilt your chin down, aaand smile!!" So you kind of end up with this weird surprised, forced, "how's this??" kinda face, HA!

This one's not so bad I guess..I just don't know what the heck I'm doing with my arm!! lol Sometimes I wonder about myself lol

Uuuuuh...let's try to keep our eyes open, shall we?? -__-

Hahaha I have no idea what I was doing right there...some kind of yawn wink thing..maybe.. :O

"Maybe if I close my eyes, these ridiculous pictures will go away..Oh what did you say?.. They're still here?..Dang."

Oook! That's that! I gonna go hide under my blanket for the next three days.. While I'm under there, check out the pics that I chose to use in my shop here:    Cya! ^__^

Today's Style: Boho Fringe

It's past 4 in the morning! Ah! I should be sleeping right now, but...I'm not! lol I'm wide awake..and for some reason all I can think about doing is posting what outfit I wore today (well..yesterday I guess). I know my Etsy shop and my blog are all about Lolita and Hime and Fairy Kei, etc..but right now, as far as what I'm wearing, I've been obsessed with a kind of boho/hippie kind of style. I like to throw in a few girlie pieces here and there to keep it pretty, such as a bow or some lace.'s my latest outfit!! I don't like to spend a bunch of money on clothes, but I do love buying new things! Tell me watcha think ^__^

My two fave tops so far. I decided to wear them together. I was never fond of wearing sleeveless shirts by themselves..I dunno why, just never felt comfortable I guess. Don't as me how this thin layer of lace makes me feel any better..but it does!! Haha I got the fringe tank from Ross for like $10 and the lace tee from Rue21 for $15.
Dark skinny jean leggings, Bullhead brand .(I dunno why they called these jean leggings..I never really understood that term, they are basically just extra tight, extra stretchy jeans) lol :P Got them from Pacsun. They were originally $40 but somehow I got them for $17. Yaaay!
Open toe wedge boots. My new fave shoes..just got them last week. They were $15 at Payless. I love that store :)
Lace Turban. My twin sister made this pretty turban ^__^ I've been wearing it all week!

So the weather has started to get really nice and sunny these past few days.. (except right now..its storming outside aaah!! Scary!) and my twin sister were trying to decide what to have for lunch and we decided on a chick-pea-salad sandwich and fruit and granola salad. So I thought I would share the fruit salad recipe! It's super easy, its almost not even a recipe..but here it is!

What you need :

 - Fruit! (I used bananas, strawberries, oranges, grapes, and apples. Kiwi, pineapple and peach would work great too!
 - Raisins (Yea it's a fruit..but i'ts dried..soo it's completely different hehe)
 - Granola
 - Soy yogurt (I like lemon or strawberry Silk brand)

Instructions :

-Cut up the fruit into small bite sized chunks. Yup even the grapes! (I like to halve those!)
-Add the raisins
-Top with granola
-Serve immediately with a side of yogurt! ^_^
